Quick and Healthy Avocado Fish Tacos Recipe

Ingredients:

For the Grilled Fish:

  • 1 lb white fish fillets (tilapia, cod, etc.)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Juice of 1 lime

For the Avocado Lime Sauce:

  • 1 ripe avocado
  • Juice of 2 limes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For Assembly:

  • 8 small corn or flour tortillas
  • Shredded cabbage or lettuce
  • Salsa or pico de gallo
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped
  • Lime wedges for serving

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.

  2. In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, pepper, and lime juice. Coat the fish fillets with this mixture, ensuring they are well-marinated.

  3. Grill the fish fillets for about 3-4 minutes per side or until they are cooked through and have grill marks. Cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of the fillets.

  4. While the fish is grilling, prepare the Avocado Lime Sauce. In a blender or food processor, combine the ripe avocado, lime juice, olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Blend until smooth.

  5. Warm the tortillas on the grill for about 20 seconds on each side or until they are pliable.

  6. Assemble the tacos by placing a spoonful of Avocado Lime Sauce on each tortilla, followed by a grilled fish fillet. Top with shredded cabbage or lettuce, salsa or pico de gallo, and chopped cilantro.

  7. Serve the grilled fish tacos with lime wedges on the side.
