Creamy Indulgence: Heavenly Avocado Chocolate Mousse

Ingredients:

  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder (unsweetened)
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup or honey (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 cup almond milk or any other dairy-free milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional toppings: shaved dark chocolate, sliced strawberries, or coconut whipped cream

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the avocados: Cut the avocados in half and remove the pits. Scoop the avocado flesh into a food processor or blender.

  2. Blend: Add cocoa powder, maple syrup or honey, almond milk, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt to the food processor or blender with the avocado.

  3. Blend until smooth: Blend all the ingredients until you achieve a smooth and creamy consistency. Make sure there are no avocado chunks remaining.

  4. Taste and adjust: Taste the mousse and adjust sweetness or cocoa powder according to your preference. You can add more maple syrup for sweetness or more cocoa powder for a richer chocolate flavor.

  5. Chill: Transfer the avocado chocolate mousse into serving bowls or glasses and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow it to firm up.

  6. Serve: Once chilled, you can serve the avocado chocolate mousse as is or with optional toppings such as shaved dark chocolate, sliced strawberries, or coconut whipped cream.
